Winners Computable Awards 2022 announced

Last night, the eighteen winners were announced at the Computable Awards 2022. This edition was dominated by 'The Dutch Masters'. Several Dutch luminaries were honoured in sports, water management, art and house music. The winners of the awards were portrayed as The Dutch Masters of IT'. Marilijn Bouwmeester presented the show at De Polar in Jaarbeurs Utrecht.

In total, Computable went through similar processes in 16 categories. In these, Computable experts digitally assessed entries, the main jury then nominated, and then let the public vote on these nominees. Jury and public verdict each determined half of who won. As in previous years, the Dutch Applied AI Award was also presented, a collaboration of Computable with the Hogeschool van Amsterdam and podcast De Dataloog. Finally, an honorary award, the Lifetime Achievement Award, was also presented for the first time in 2022.

TU Delft

This year, the big winner at the Computable Awards does not exist. TU Delft takes home two awards, all other winners won one. Another technical university, that from Eindhoven, also wins an award. It is also notable that three ministries take an award: BZK, EZK and J&V.

Microsoft shares in the awards just about every year, and does so again this year. This time, though, with an internal trajectory, appointing a 'chief hybrid officer' to encourage hybrid working.

There were also two special awards at the Computable Awards 2022 ceremony. Jury chairman Nanda Piersma handed out the Dutch Applied AI Award 2022 to WSK Medical's solution Zeno AI. After Computable editors presented another Golden Computable Award to Jan Baan in 2018, from this year onwards a Lifetime Achievement Award will honour someone who has earned his or her spurs in ict each time. This honour will go to Ad Nederlof in 2022.

The Dutch Masters

This year, the Computable Awards were themed The Dutch Masters, a theme the trade magazine intends to continue in the coming years. This year, four different blocks focused on great Dutch sportsmen, famous items from hydraulic engineering, famous artists through the ages and Dutch DJs who are at the top internationally. The entertainment and food were focused on these four disciplines. Based on these areas, the blocks were given an ict-twist so that prizes were also handed out. Sport was linked to doing something good(s), water to handling something, art to making something beautiful(s) and the DJs were linked to people and achieving something personally.
