Group of people listening intently.

We take care of the details

At Jaarbeurs, we have more than 100 years of experience in hosting and organising events. We know what works well (and not so well) for any gathering. And what's more: we often know what you need from us. Our rooms are designed and furnished in such a way that you actually only need to open the door yourself. Because the set-up and decoration? We've already done that for you.

Why organise a seminar at Jaarbeurs?

Central location

Jaarbeurs is right next to Utrecht Central Station. From Schiphol Airport, it is only 30 minutes by train. Moreover, your guests can also come by car, as we have more than 3,000 parking spaces.

Best conference location in the Netherlands

That we know what we are doing is evident from our track record. We can tell you that ourselves, but of course it is better to hear it from someone else. For several years in a row, we won the public award for 'Best Conference Venue in the Netherlands'!

A single point of contact

With a single point of contact, your account and event manager, we ensure your event is a success from start to finish.

Sustainable business

At Jaarbeurs, we are committed every day to making choices that have as little impact on the environment as possible. We lead the way with sustainable initiatives, limit our waste streams and look at catering from a green perspective.

Organising a seminar: useful tips

A seminar is a great way to share knowledge. To bring people together. To exchange ideas and bring about change. Want to organise a successful seminar? Then keep these 5 tips for organising a seminar handy.

What is the purpose of the seminar? Are you going to share knowledge? Give a stage to experts? Or would you rather the target group itself mainly network and exchange information with each other? Writing down the purpose of the seminar will help you make better choices during the organisation process.

Do you know where participants come from? Then sometimes the location is decisive. So choose a central event location that is easy to reach. Jaarbeurs, for example, is next to the railway station and we have more than 3,000 parking spaces. So you can come by public transport or by car. Moreover, there are many hotels in the area, so also perfect for guests who need an overnight stay.

Nobody is made to listen for a whole day, even if the topic is so interesting. Therefore, make sure you create a varied and interactive programme. With inspiring keynotes, interactive sessions, workshops or panel discussions, for example. Also make sure there is enough time for networking. This is often where the best collaborations come about.

Love goes through the stomach. The experience and perception of a seminar is not just about the programme. Tasty food also has a big part in this. And you can do more with food than you think. Let it, for instance, connect to the topic of the seminar or the theme of the day.

During a seminar, you don't want technical problems. Yet it happens more often than you think. A screen that does not work, a microphone that is off or a lamp that flickers. So have a good look in advance at what you need and test everything thoroughly. At Jaarbeurs we arrange all this for you. Moreover, our rooms are plug & play: just plug in and you are ready to start.
