You are about to organise a master class. How nice! Every day at Jaarbeurs we receive all kinds of trainers, coaches or specialists who give the finest masterclasses. Wondering what to think about when organising a masterclass? These are our 5 tips for organising a masterclass.
What do you want people to be able to do or know after attending the master class? Do they need to master a certain skill, for example, or is it purely knowledge sharing? Write down the goal for yourself, then you can better shape the programme at a later stage.
People like to know where they stand. So share the programme in advance. Of course, you don't have to give everything away, as there should also be room for surprises. But, by sharing the programme in time, it can also contribute to extra registrations. It might just win over any doubters.
Nobody is made to listen for whole days. Therefore, involve your target audience in the masterclass. Let them ask questions during Q&A sessions, for instance. Devise group assignments or demonstrate how a certain product or action works.
Love goes through the stomach. And it is the same with a masterclass. You don't want people with growling stomachs or dissatisfied faces because your catering is not up to scratch. At Jaarbeurs, you don't have to worry about that. Our culinary advisors are ready to provide you with the most delicious catering. And everywhere applies: super fresh and sustainable as much as possible.
Would you like to give master classes more often? Then ask your participants for feedback. What went well and what could be improved? Ask targeted questions about all your components and let the participants give points. For example, for the catering, the event location, the programme, etc. That way, you will know exactly which knobs to turn next time.
