Utrecht, 27 August 2026 – VIV Select China 2026 has enjoyed a record-breaking edition. The event, organised by Globus Events and VNU Europe, part of Royal Dutch Jaarbeurs, brought together thousands of professionals from the international livestock and aquaculture sectors in Shanghai from 19 to 21 August. This once again underlines VIV’s role as a global platform where entrepreneurs, knowledge institutions and technology partners meet, share knowledge and create new business opportunities.

With 550 exhibitors from 20 countries and regions, the event grew by almost 37 per cent compared with last year. In total, over 20,300 professionals from 113 countries and regions visited the trade fair. The number of international visitors tripled, demonstrating the growing international significance of VIV Select China and illustrating how face-to-face meetings contribute to international trade, knowledge exchange and sustainable growth.

Speaking on behalf of Royal Jaarbeurs at the conference, CEO Jeroen van Hooff discussed the role of international networks and meetings in accelerating innovation and collaboration within the sector. “Our mission within the VIV Worldwide network is to connect entrepreneurs worldwide and showcase innovation. The strong growth of this first edition in Shanghai demonstrates just how great the need is for international gatherings where knowledge, trade and technology converge. That is why we are expanding the event further in 2027.” The strong growth, high levels of satisfaction among exhibitors and the many direct rebookings for next year confirm the market’s confidence in VIV Select China and the strength of the global VIV network.

The next edition of VIV Select China will take place from 17 to 19 August 2027 in Shanghai
