The Jaarbeurs car park recently underwent a renovation. This refurbishment has not only improved safety, but also comfort for visitors. Speed gates have been installed and camera surveillance has been intensified. The garage was also fitted with new lighting and clear signage and repainted in a modern shade of grey. These measures contribute to a pleasant and safe parking experience for our visitors.
In the past, the different floors of the parking garage were coloured green, blue, purple, orange and yellow. These colours were chosen at the time as the colours within Jaarbeurs's house style. We occasionally receive signals that these colours are thought to refer to the rainbow flag of the lhbtiq+ community. This is not the case. The colour choice at the time was purely housestyle technical and unrelated to any social or political symbolism.
With the new grey colour scheme, we choose for calmness, unity and a professional appearance. Of course, as an organisation we stand for inclusiveness and diversity, but the colour scheme of the parking garage is not an expression of that. Jaarbeurs is a proud partner of Utrecht Pride on 7 June 2025 and the Utrecht Queer Culture Festival from 3 to 12 October 2025.
