Utrecht, 23 September 2025 - From 18 December to 4 January, the Utrecht Winter Spectacle will take place at Royal Jaarbeurs. Jaarbeurs will be decorated as a winter venue for 18 days with 15,000 m² of activities. The Utrecht Winter Spectacle is a new initiative in the city and region. It is the largest winter event in the central Netherlands and offers a programme of more than 35 activities. Part of it is an ice rink of 1,500 m².

Utrecht Winter Spectacle: with largest ice rink in the region
The Utrecht Winter Spectacle offers a broad programme for all ages with the largest ice rink in the central Netherlands, attractions, music, workshops and culinary experiences. The event also provides a stage for musicians, theatre-makers and other creatives from Utrecht. "It is a winter venue where everyone is welcome. We want to offer a place where families, friends and colleagues alike can be together and where local makers can showcase their talents," said Huub van de Vecht, initiator and creator of well-known Utrecht festivals such as Central Park, Lief and Festival Strand.

Jaarbeurs as venue partner
With the Utrecht Winter Spectacle, Jaarbeurs reaffirms its role as a versatile and central meeting place for large-scale events in the Netherlands. "We are proud to be able to add this event to our events calendar and thus offer Dutch people a venue for families, friends, colleagues and other groups centrally in the country during the Christmas holidays," said Herman Mantel CCO Koninklijke Jaarbeurs.

The Utrecht Winter Spectacle will take place from Thursday 18 December 2025 to Sunday 4 January 2026 at Koninklijke Jaarbeurs.
