Utrecht, 16 December 2025 - For the first time, the internationally leading exhibition The Art of Banksy is coming to Utrecht. From 2 April 2026, Royal Jaarbeurs will open its doors for this unique exhibition featuring more than 150 original and certified works by the world-famous but anonymous street-art artist Banksy.

A world first for Utrecht
The exhibition has been travelling the world for over a decade and has previously been shown in cities such as London, Melbourne, Chicago and Toronto. Now Utrecht gets the premiere. Visitors will discover iconic works such as Girl With Balloon, alongside lesser-known pieces, sketches and personal memorabilia that hint at Banksy's creative process. Michel Boersma, Executive Producer & Curator The Art of Banksy: "After a successful world tour, I am proud that we are bringing this larger-than-ever collection to the Netherlands for the first time. All the works are authentic and from private collections. No replicas, but the real deal. Thanks to contributions from confidants and former lovers of Banksy, we can give visitors a unique insight into how iconic works and infamous stunts were created."

New cultural hotspot in Jaarbeurs
The exhibition will take place in the new cultural space on the first floor of Jaarbeurs's Beatrix Building. This venue is specially designed for art and photo exhibitions and offers a special experience for art lovers, cultural tourists, families and students. Marieke Groot, project manager Jaarbeurs: "With The Art of Banksy, we reinforce our ambition to put Jaarbeurs on the map as a cultural meeting place as well. It is a unique opportunity to give Utrecht a place on the international art circuit."

About The Art of Banksy
The exhibition includes prints, canvases, screenprints, sculptures and unique works from 1997-2008, during which Banksy created his most iconic art. All works are certified and from private collections.
