A special recognition for Royal Dutch Jaarbeurs and our CEO Jeroen van Hooff personally: Jeroen was presented with the Outstanding Leadership Award in Mumbai, India, for his contribution to the international exhibition and events industry. The presentation took place at a gala during the tenth edition of the Exhibition Excellence Awards, India's leading platform for the exhibition industry. The award is a great appreciation for Jeroen's personal commitment, but also for the role we as Royal Dutch Jaarbeurs play as a connector of people, markets and ideas, in the Netherlands and far beyond. The award is a tribute to more than four decades of collaboration with the global livestock community: the teams of VIV Worldwide, our partners, exhibitors and customers worldwide, and the international community we have built together.
The award is an initiative of Exhibition Showcase and MICE Showcase, two major media platforms in the field of exhibitions and conferences in India. MICE stands for Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions; the infrastructure of venues, hotels, travel organisations and government initiatives organised to facilitate business tourism and large-scale events.
The fact that this recognition is being awarded precisely in India, at a platform where international leaders from the world of trade fairs, conferences and events come together, makes it extra special. As Royal Dutch Jaarbeurs , we recently organised VIV Select India for the first time, an agritech event for animal protein producers in India.
In short: a great milestone and an incentive to continue building together on meaningful encounters that contribute to innovation, trade and social progress.
