KreaDoe attracted over 43,000 visitors to the Royal Jaarbeurs over the past five days. Utrecht was the place to be for creative people who wanted to indulge in their favourite hobby. For the first time, this 32nd edition was all about sustainability. Marleen Rompen, exhibition manager KreaDoe: "We look back on a very successful edition. Judging by the visitor numbers, we are almost at the level of 2019, a great result. Visitors enjoyed a varied range of workshops, activities and performances by well-known influencer CreaChick and Karin Bloemen, among others. And visitors could also once again take part in the special KreaDoe raffle with the proceeds going to the Princess Máxima Centre for Paediatric Oncology."

Sustainable hobbying trend at Benelux's biggest DIY event
This 32nd KreaDoe edition had over 230 exhibitors. Some of these exhibitors focused on sustainable hobbying. Marleen Rompen: "This is the first time we have put sustainable hobbying in the spotlight in this way at KreaDoe. With this, we want to make visitors aware of how to creatively deal with waste in the form of paper scraps, coffee grounds, fruit peels and elephant dung. Zoetermeer-based Karin from Atelier Brigitta, for instance, gave demonstrations on paper shreds that she mixes with dried elephant dung. With this, she made notepads, bowls and baubles. There was also a special sustainability theatre where visitors could learn all about sustainable hobbies."

KreaDoe visitors support the Princess Máxima Centre
This edition, KreaDoe raised €5,500 for the Princess Máxima Centre. Jaarbeurs is committed to the Máxima's mission: to cure every child with cancer with optimal quality of life. Marleen Rompen: "We do this partly through fundraising during events, employee initiatives and our own donations. For KreaDoe, for example, we came up with the idea that visitors could make a donation to the Máxima when buying an admission ticket and during the fair we organised a lottery. We are extremely pleased to be able to donate €5,500 to the Máxima. Visitors to KreaDoe, we are very grateful to you."

The new date for KreaDoe is now also known, 1 to 5 November 2023. Visitors will not have to wait long, as there will be another special edition of the KreaDoe Spring Festival from Friday 14 April to Saturday 16 April.
