Utrecht, 27 October 2021 - The Jaarbeurs is looking for a new CEO. The current one, Albert Arp, will leave on 1 January 2022. He will become CEO of Cardiologie Centra Nederland with effect from that date. His duties at Jaarbeurs will be assumed by CFO Franka Morssink from 1 January until a successor is appointed.

Arp: "There is no such thing as the right time to go. I have dedicated myself with full energy, dedication and pleasure to Jaarbeurs and its VNU subsidiaries in China and Thailand. It is a wonderful company with great economic and social significance for the city and region. In line with the changing needs of our customers, Jaarbeurs has also changed at a rapid pace and remains relevant for now and the future. We went into the pandemic top-fit and came out of it healthy. We have a strong organisation that I can bid farewell to with confidence. I am grateful for the opportunities I have been given and the years of cooperation with so many fine colleagues and stakeholders inside and outside Jaarbeurs."

Evert Greup, chairman of the Jaarbeurs Supervisory Board: " Jaarbeurs has been under the energetic leadership of Albert Arp for almost six years. A period in which the operational course of events improved significantly, good steps were taken in areas such as sustainability and digitalisation, the international activities flourished, the plans for 'The New Jaarbeurs' became concrete, and Jaarbeurs was steered well through the covid crisis by Albert and his team. The Supervisory Board is very grateful for his dedication, commitment, involvement and professionalism during those years, and wishes him much pleasure and success in his next challenge."

The Supervisory Board has now started the process of finding a good successor.
