Utrecht, 8 September 2025 - CSU will continue to be responsible for cleaning services at Koninklijke Jaarbeurs in the coming years. With this, CSU continues its role at one of the most versatile event venues in the Netherlands, switching between diverse events such as KreaDoe and the KamaSutra fair in a short space of time.
Two worlds: Jaarbeurshallen and Beatrix Building
The cooperation covers both the Jaarbeurs halls and the Beatrix Building. In the halls, the emphasis is on flexibility and speed: in 2024, 68 exhibitions and events were running, ranging from one-day meetings to multi-week productions. This requires a permanent team and a dynamic shell of cleaning professionals and service staff ready day and night - from set-up and delivery to interim and final cleaning. In the Beatrix Building, where the employees of Jaarbeurs are located, among others, the focus is precisely on representative offices and conference rooms that must always be in top condition.
Coordination and dynamics
The dynamics at Jaarbeurs start even before an event. Chris van de Graaf, CSU's project manager at Jaarbeurs: "CSU coordinates intensively with event managers weeks in advance, so that cleaning and room allocation fit seamlessly into the planning. During events, work is non-stop: instructions and briefing in the morning, visible service staff on the floor during the day, and large cleaning teams at night to ensure the venue looks like new the next day."
Sustainable and innovative
Jaarbeurs aims to be the most sustainable organiser and facilitator of exhibitions and events in Europe. CSU supports that mission with sustainable solutions such as chemical-free agents like ozone water, ergonomic machines like i-mops, and an electric sweeper. Social innovation also receives attention, for example by deploying translation apps and earphones, so that employees from diverse backgrounds can participate optimally. Menno Overtoom, director venue & operations at Jaarbeurs: "Our ambition requires partners who not only move with us, but also think ahead. CSU shows that sustainability and innovation go hand in hand with social commitment. Thanks to their efforts, we can offer our visitors a clean, hospitable and future-proof environment every day."
Proud of cooperation
The dynamics at Jaarbeurs demand flexibility, hospitality and teamwork. Chris: "Our cleaning and service employees are visibly present, recognisable and trained in hospitality, so that visitors and exhibitors feel welcome. Thanks to years of cleaning experience within our team and actively involving employees in innovation, we continue to deliver quality." Marcel Mansveld, district manager at CSU, is proud of the partnership with Jaarbeurs: "The dynamics of these special locations bring out the best in us. Together, we ensure that visitors experience every event in the best possible way."
