Utrecht, September 4, 2025 -Coöperatie VGZ and Koninklijke Jaarbeurs are joining forces to make healthcare future-proof. The cooperation focuses on connecting knowledge, people and ideas and takes shape through the Dutch Health Hub, Jaarbeurs 's online platform where healthcare professionals and innovators meet. The organisations are also jointly developing initiatives for leading healthcare trade fairs, with the aim of accelerating innovation, digitalisation and sustainability in healthcare.

Partnership ratified: making more impact together on major healthcare challenges
With an official signing, VGZ and Jaarbeurs join forces. Audrey Wilschut, cluster manager healthcare at Royal Jaarbeurs: "By joining forces, together we can make more impact on the big challenges in healthcare." Director Corporate Communication & Public Affairs Nicolette Kersbergen: "Coöperatie VGZ wants to be a driver of future-proof healthcare. That means VGZ has a keen eye for topics such as innovation, digitalisation and sustainability in healthcare. These are also important themes for Jaarbeurs, so a partnership is a nice, logical step to strengthen each other on these themes."

Innovation and communication hand in hand
To live up to the role of booster, communication is essential as far as Kersbergen is concerned. "An ageing population, a shortage of healthcare professionals: healthcare must be organised differently to remain future-proof. VGZ communicates this message in many ways. Not only by hammering on topics such as appropriate care, care innovation or citizen participation in care and support, but also by showing how we fulfil our role as a booster to inspire others."

Connection with wider healthcare network
VGZ joins the wider network around healthcare and health in which Jaarbeurs plays a central role with this partnership. Audrey Wilschut sees the partnership as an opportunity to make an impact together. "We bring relevant parties together and give innovative ideas and trends a stage. This leads to valuable meetings and concrete steps towards better care."

The partnership came about partly thanks to the efforts of Ruud Koolen, director Dutch Health Hub, who is retiring at the end of this year. Koolen: "I particularly like the fact that this partnership is now officially launched. This provides a solid foundation for the future."
