Utrecht, 8 August 2022 - Bike Motion, the largest live event for passionate cycling enthusiasts in the Netherlands, will be relocated again. Due to high consumer demand in the market and supply issues affecting the sector, it is still not possible to properly showcase the latest products and brands and inspire visitors to the maximum extent. The event was to take place at the Jaarbeurs from 21 to 23 October 2022 and will be rescheduled for autumn 2023.
Performance, Explore, Culture
Originally, the all-new edition of Bike Motion was planned for autumn 2021. In close cooperation with visitors, exhibitors, Soigneur Agency's experts and other cycling experts, a completely new concept was developed. This new concept focuses on three themes: Performance, Explore and Culture. Each theme offers a combination of sporting activities, great conversations, interesting trends and fascinating tips. Heiko M. Stutzinger, Chief Operating Officer Jaarbeurs: "With the themes, we give visitors recognisable hooks that allow them to find what they are looking for at the fair. For Explore, you could think of MTB, gravel, bikepacking, BBQ, outdoor and route building. At Performance, you will find coaching, goals and pro cycling. And at Culture, you'll find aspects like fashion, urban, commuter and cargo."
Delay, but not a reprieve
Due to the high demand for bikes during the corona pandemic and long delivery times of parts, exhibitors in 2021 were unable to showcase the latest products and it was decided to move the event to 2022. "Currently, the cycling industry is still struggling with the same issues. Despite the confirmations of some great brands and inspiring speakers, to our great disappointment we have had to decide to move the event by another year. Bike Motion's ambition is to provide maximum inspiration to the sporty cyclist, showcase the finest and latest products and offer visitors a varied cycling experience. Unfortunately, this does not appear to be possible at the moment. But procrastination is certainly not a cancellation; we will make it a particularly beautiful and inspiring cycling event in autumn 2023," said Heiko M. Stutzinger.

Visitors receive tips from experts on, among other things, training and nutrition, meet heroes from the cycling world, discover the most beautiful cycling destinations and see the latest equipment. Bike Motion is there for both the novice cyclist and those who have been in the saddle longer.
The organisers expect to attract 30,000 visitors with the revamped content programme and variety of exhibitors.
