Uncloud – 10 years of challenging the binary

From 1 to 11 October, part of our Beatrix Building will be transformed into an impressive world of art, technology and wonder.

This year, Uncloud is celebrating its 10th anniversary with ‘Breaking the Binary’. For ten years now, Uncloud has been exploring and developing new forms of audiovisual art, blurring the boundaries between disciplines and modes of presentation. For this anniversary edition, the possibilities of digital media are being put to the test. The result is an immersive, all-encompassing experience in which scenography, installation art, sound and live performance come together in a single, integrated environment.

The festival invites visitors to experience art, sound and space in an innovative and collaborative way. With this edition, Uncloud is living up to its motto more than ever: pushing the boundaries between visual art, space and sound.

About Uncloud

Uncloud is a non-profit organisation for contemporary art and music, based in Utrecht. As well as the festival, Uncloud organises artist residencies, operates as an artists’ collective, releases work via the Uncloud Editions label and produces a bi-monthly radio show on Stranded FM.

By bringing together creators, audiences and disciplines, Uncloud creates space for experimentation, innovation and new forms of artistic experience.
