Catering range
A celeriac shoarma or appetisers with oyster mushroom balls: our catering offer is largely vegetarian. And do we use meat? Then we work as much as possible with at least a two-star Beter Leven quality mark and fish with an ASC/MSC quality mark. To avoid waste, our chefs prepare the dishes on-the-spot. Moreover, we coordinate the menus for different activities. This allows us to use fresh products efficiently.
Dealing with waste
How we handle waste affects how it can later be treated. That is why we focus on all aspects associated with waste. For instance, by keeping waste streams clean by using colours and symbols at waste bins. Or by doing pilots with special mobile waste streets to be used during the assembly and disassembly of trade fairs. Here we can separate waste at source. We also make agreements with suppliers about waste.
Circular materials
If possible, we use circular materials. For example, circular exhibition carpet. Because, next to stand construction and catering, exhibition carpet is one of the largest sources of waste. This circular carpet contains no latex and consists of a single material. It is therefore easier to recycle. Moreover, we encourage exhibitors to opt for sustainable stand construction. Among other things, we have chairs and stools made of recycled PET bottles and tables made of residual wood from a sheltered workshop.
Logistics & transport
The environmental impact of an event is closely linked to the means of transport people use to come. We therefore encourage people to come by public transport. For our own fairs and events, we cooperate with NS. Visitors can buy a low-cost combination ticket for the train and admission to various fairs. Moreover, we work with several local suppliers and partners to combine deliveries in the city. Finally, our parking system is digital. So no paper parking tickets!
