Those who know Supremacy know that it is not a standard dance event. It is about community, recognition and a sound deeply rooted in hardstyle culture. During the first edition of Supremacy Classics, all that came together at Royal Jaarbeurs, where 18,000 fans gathered for a completely sold-out night of RAW classics.

"Supremacy Classics is all about the roots of RAW and the Supremacy brand," says organiser and brand manager Nikita van Seggelen. "Our community is extremely engaged. Visitors know exactly what they come for and scream along to every track from start to finish." That also requires a location that is big enough ánd can move along production-wise. The organisation therefore chose Jaarbeurs. Says Nikita: "The scale of the event calls for a venue that can operate logistically and technically at a high level. And that is Jaarbeurs.

According to Jasper Peeters, key account manager at Jaarbeurs, Supremacy Classics is also a good fit for Jaarbeurs. "We have been working together with affiliated companies such as B2S and ID&T for a long time and like to build strong, triple-A brands together. These are events with a clear identity and a loyal community. As a venue, we want to give that room to grow further."

Central location as an advantage
In addition, accessibility played an important role for the event, especially since Supremacy also had an international appeal. "Jaarbeurs is centrally located and easily accessible for both national and international visitors," Nikita explains.

One hall for one crowd
For Supremacy Classics, we deliberately chose the largest hall in Jaarbeurs. Nikita: "This event requires one powerful, overwhelming space in which sound, light and décor come together. Everything has to be right, so that the energy of the crowd is done full justice." And that was exactly what happened. Thousands of visitors stood together in one space, facing the same stage. According to Jasper, this is also where the strength of the concept lies: "At many events, you see continuous movement between rooms and audiences. Here, there is one crowd with the same experience. People come not only for the music, but also for each other. That sense of community is enhanced precisely because everyone is together in the one room."

Being able to switch quickly
The event went smoothly. Nikita explains: "We regularly organise events, and with a new location you always come across points that you only experience on the day itself. In this case, these were mainly minor optimisations. Everything just went very well." Behind-the-scenes tasks were also quickly switched where necessary. She looks back with satisfaction on the cooperation with all teams at Jaarbeurs: "The communication was pleasant and professional, and there was a lot of willingness to think along in solutions. That is very valuable for us as organisers."

Jasper emphasises the great collaboration: "At Jaarbeurs , we don't just look at hall rentals, but also at how a concept can develop. We create space for entrepreneurship so that organisers can grow. If they are successful, so are we together. That partnership is in how we guide these kinds of events."

A partner for large-scale events
For Jaarbeurs , Supremacy Classics shows how important community-driven events are. Jasper: "We want to be a place where people with shared interests come together. That can be a trade fair as well as a music community. It's all about connection and experience. And we make an effort every day."

For Nikita, there is no doubt that the event was a great success. The location played an important role in this. "The central location, the scalability of the spaces and the professional support make Jaarbeurs a strong partner for organisers who want to put on a high-quality, large-scale event." With a sold-out first edition and an audience singing along to every track word for word, Supremacy Classics immediately proved its potential. And that clearly tastes like more: because the next edition at Jaarbeurs is already in the calendar!
