During the Kampeer & Caravan Jaarbeurs (camping fair) since 2022, the Camping Sustainability Award has been presented with awards for the most sustainable camping product, camping site and innovation concept. Companies working on CO2 reduction, innovation, circularity and making a positive contribution to nature can nominate their product or concept.
Consumer events
Jaarbeurs organises and facilitates various consumer fairs where thousands of visitors find inspiration, discover the latest trends and try out hobbies. Sustainability is alive in every industry: from vintage craft items to a tent made of recycled materials and from electric motorcycling to sustainable holidays. At the fairs organised by Jaarbeurs, we offer visitors inspiration to make sustainable choices.
Route along sustainable initiatives
At many of our exhibitions, visitors can follow a special 'sustainability route'. Exhibitors with innovative and sustainable iniatives can participate in this route. At the Kampeer & Carvan Jaarbeurs (camping fair), for example, visitors can look for the most sustainable camping products, at KreaDoe they can craft with sustainable materials and at the Vakantiebeurs they can discover sustainable travel.
Finding inspiration with an eye to the future
To give sustainability extra attention on the exhibition floor, we offer special places where visitors can discover sustainable initiatives. At KreaDoe, for example, there is a sustainability theatre and at Kampeer & Caravan Jaarbeurs (camping fair), visitors can take a look into the future with Camping of the Future plaza.
“In the sustainability theatre, visitors will be inspired by exhibitors tinkering with paper shreds, coffee grounds, fruit peels and elephant dung, among other things. Saving paper
The Jaarbeurs live app allows visitors to navigate around the event. The app features an interactive floor plan, exhibitors and the programme. With the Jaarbeurs Live app, we save over 300,000 paper maps on an annual basis. Sometimes the need remains among visitors for a paper floor plan. At the Kampeer & Caravan Jaarbeurs (camping fair) 2023, we donated the income from paper floor plans to Trees for All.
