It is currently obligatory within hospitality to show a Covid access pass. An employee will request on arrival that you show the CoronaCheck app combined with a valid proof of identity.
To keep meetings and events as safe as possible, it is obligatory to show a Covid access pass for all our activities. If you do not have a recent proof of vaccination or recovery, you can use Test for Access to be tested shortly prior to the activity in order to show your Covid access pass in this way. In that case, get in touch with us to discuss what other options are available.
Fairs and events
Yes, it is a legal obligation for us to perform checks on Covid access passes every day. This applies to exhibitors, organisers and visitors. If you are not in possession of a proof of vaccination or recovery, this means that you must be tested again every 24 hours at a Test for Access (Testen voor Toegang) location.
As of 12 November 2021 there is a Testen voor Toegang location at the Jaarbeurs, at parking P3. Testing is only possible by appointment. Please schedule your appointment no longer than 2 weeks in advance via afspraak.testenvoortoegang.org. No, testing via Test for Access is currently free.
Organisers
The check for Covid access passes is provided in full by the Jaarbeurs. Our do this check at the entrance of our buildings. We do everything we can to ensure that access control runs smoothly and does not burden organisers with the costs and production output for this.
No. The Jaarbeurs has a continuous use permit and is registered on that basis.
From 25 September, we are obliged to ask all visitors for a Covid access pass. We are therefore unfortunately unable to admit visitors without a Covid access pass. Besides the fact that this is an obligation by law, we also believe that this is an important step forward in safely bringing together exhibitors and visitors. If you do not hold proof of vaccination or recent proof of recovery, you can use a negative test result to request a Covid access pass via testenvoortoegang.org.
For conferences and meetings with assigned seating the maximum capacity is equal to the number of visitors that can be accommodated 1.5 metres apart. This is around 1/3 of normal capacity, with a maximum of 1250.
Exhibitors
The Jaarbeurs takes the safety of employees, guests and suppliers very seriously. From 25 September, we are obliged to check all visitors to our buildings hold a Covid access pass. Besides the fact that this is an obligation, we also believe that this is an important step forward in safely bringing together exhibitors and visitors.
Exhibitors and stand personnel are therefore also checked for Covid access passes during the fair’s opening hours because they come into contact with our visitors. Exhibitors and stand personnel will not be checked during the assembly and disassembly process.
Introducing an exception for exhibitor undermines the checks on Covid access passes for our visitors and does not contribute to ensuring that activities run safely in the Jaarbeurs.
We understand that we are asking for extra efforts from the crew and visitors without recent proof of recovery or vaccination, because they must be tested every 24 hours via Test for Access in order to gain access to the Jaarbeurs. Therefore there is a Testen voor Toegang location at the Jaarbeurs, at parking P3. Testing is only possible by appointment. Please schedule your appointment no longer than 2 weeks in advance via afspraak.testenvoortoegang.org. To select the location at the Jaarbeurs, please fill in 3521 AL and select location 'Utrecht - Jaarbeurs (P3)'.
