Jaarbeurs appoints healthcare sector media professional to innovate and develop healthcare titles.
As of 1 May 2020, Ruud Koolen will take up the position of Dutch Health Hub Director at Jaarbeurs. He will continue to develop Jaarbeurs' position in healthcare and link it to digital. In the coming years, Jaarbeurs hopes to build a prominent and strong position in the healthcare sector.

Ruud has won his spurs in the healthcare field as an initiator, editor and leader of publications and seminars. In a market that is overcrowded with professional journals for healthcare administrators, Ruud Koolen managed to conceive and develop Skipr, the cross-media communication platform for decision-makers in healthcare, in 2008. In addition to being editor-in-chief of Zorgvisie from 2000 to 2008, Koolen turned Skipr into a market-leading platform. When Springer media acquired Reed Business in 2015, he became the publisher of Zorgvisie and Skipr, and in 2018, Ruud pioneered Qruxx, the knowledge platform for value-based healthcare.
Innovation of Healthcare Titles
Ruud is enthusiastic about his move to Jaarbeurs: "I want to contribute to Jaarbeurs' ambition to inspire people in the healthcare sector and to facilitate them meeting each other in light of this theme.
