'Dream now, travel soon!' Under that motto, the Vakantiebeurs is organising an interactive online travel festival on 4 and 5 June to bring holiday fun into people's living rooms. On Friday evening 4 June, the festival will kick off with the 'I ♥ Travel' show, an interactive online travel experience that aims to make holidaymakers dream away for a while. On 5 June, the Vakantiebeurs's online travel festival will offer an overview of a variety of destinations to which it will be safe to travel when the time comes again. In addition to a good dose of entertainment, information and pre-fun, the show and festival will offer various components in which online visitors can participate. There are also great trips to be won. Admission to the show and festival are free.
Thecla Amoureus of the Vakantiebeurs: "After a year in which it was mainly about dreaming about holidays, the moment when we can actually travel again is getting closer. With our show and the festival, we want to inspire people to put together a holiday that makes them forget a little bit about the unpleasant period that will hopefully soon be behind us. The Vakantiebeurs Festival will show visitors special dream destinations and demonstrate what safe travel will look like in 2021. By watching, listening, reading, talking, participating and tasting, the holiday fun starts from behind the screen."
‘I ♥ Travel’ show
The interactive 'I ♥ Travel' show will kick off the festival on Friday evening 4 June and will be broadcast live from the Jaarbeurs Studios in Utrecht. Several Dutch celebrities and holiday experts will make their appearance in the studio and take viewers past dream destinations, hilarious holiday clichés, special holiday stories and answers to the most important questions surrounding safe travel. From sofa or desk chair, travel enthusiasts compete for the top prize in the holiday quiz and a '1-minute-of fame' in the broadcast.
Travel festival
Following this, the online travel festival on 5 June will be buzzing with various films, sessions, meetings and much more. Travel professionals themselves have also been thought of, with a special 'stage' for networking and knowledge acquisition and exchange. "With an online festival in June, we are aiming at the period when there is more clarity on what is possible and allowed during the summer holidays. However, we are not limiting ourselves to travel offers for the summer. The special dream trips that are possible again in autumn or in 2022 will also be featured," Amoureus said.
The show and festival make up a special online edition of the Vakantiebeurs and is free for visitors to attend. Keep up to date with all developments by following Vakantiebeurs on Facebook and Instagram.
